7 Quick Takes Friday (vol. 11)

Yo Gabba Gabba is giving me 23 minutes to write this.  So here I go.

I just realized that when you write about s e x then people will see your blog thinking they are coming to read about, well, s e x.  After writing 50 Shades of Marriage, I had a lot of interesting people visit my blog.  So if you are a regular reader, go the right of my page and press the “Follow” button.  Once you follow this blog, if you like what I write, you can click a “like” button.  (Kind of like facebook but way cooler.)  Since a lot of people don’t write comments, the “like” button allows you to put your opinion out there.  Needless to say, I’ve had a lot of very interesting “likes” lately.

Which may be a good thing.  Maybe some of what I said will make sense to people who wouldn’t have ever made sense of it.  Or thought to make sense of it.  Did that just make sense?

We have a high of 108 today in St. Louis.  Yuck.  I’m optimistically hoping that we only have this one week of 100 plus weather and then magically the weather goes back to the 80s and 90s for the rest of the summer.  Wouldn’t that just be a fairytale world?

I am honored to say I know Steve Rupp personally.  Please watch this.  Please share this video.  It has a very powerful pro-life message.

So what is everyone in the normal world saying about the passing of the Individual Healthcare Mandate?  If you don’t understand all the legal jargon and can’t make sense of what is going on, I will break it down to you with this:

The Deacon read my “Raising Children to Love the Lord” book and I have some changes to make.  One of the couples I interviewed had a pretty weak story compared to the other two and he suggested I make some adjustments to their story.  I completely agree with his comments and am very happy to have his honest opinion.  I want this book to be as perfect as possible in hopes that it will impact new parents at our church.  So if a re-write is needed, a re-write will be done.  So here I go!

Thanks for that graphic about the mandate. That makes it all ridiculously clear. I wish all citizens of the USA could see it. And thanks also for the post about the 50 shades book. I agree with your entirely. Biggest mistake a couple can make is to base their marriage on s e x . God bless you.

I’ve been blogging for almost ten years. My most frequently visited post is a middle-of-the-road meme with a drawing of Princess Jasmine (from Aladdin) with her pet tiger, Rajah. That has almost nothing to do with what I usually blog about, but I’d imagine that at least one person who comes for the drawing will click on my header and check out some of my other posts. It happens!
