Going out-of-town and getting away, is simply heavenly.  Thank you Memorial Day extended weekend getaway!  But now, all I can think about is my 4th of July weekend getaway.  I don’t want to wish away June, but come on July, get here already!

One thing I like about vacations is using all my small, travel size shampoos and soaps.  There is something about small bottles of shampoos that get me really excited about taking a shower.  Even though it is the same shampoos and soaps that I use at home, it feels, oh so different.  And better.

I decided last week that I was done working full-time hours on a part-time salary.  So I told my boss that I was going back to part-time hours.  Yesterday I went in the office and they gave away my desk.  Looks like they just made it easier for me to work from home all the time.

Or maybe they are serious about wanting me back full-time.  I guess they don’t realize that when I say the word work out loud I put the word smerk behind it.  Work smerk.

I just wasted three takes on work.  Work smerk.  I’m clearly obsessed with my dislike for work smerk.  I need a new gig. I’ve been trying to get this awesome job as a full-time stay-at-home-mom but so far, I have not been successful.  But I’m still applying for the job and trying my best to butter up the boss.

I finished my third and final interview for the first book I am writing for my parish.  I hope to have my first draft done this weekend so I can have my husband and a couple of others edit it.  My prayer is to have it completed by mid-June for the deacon’s approval.  Many prayers that I get this rock rolling and this project takes off!
